Job summary

Accelera in Denton, TX is seeking a Metal Forming Specialist to convert raw metal stock into precision components. You will set up press brake tooling, read complex blueprints, and ensure parts meet exact specifications while upholding safety and quality on the shop floor.

You will collaborate with the production team to hit output targets, document progress in our ERP system, and apply your knowledge of metal properties to improve bending efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven proficiency in operating industrial press brake equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics.
• Solid mathematical aptitude for fabrication calculations.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Configure and manage press brake machinery to achieve precise bends, forms, and straightening of various metal materials.
• Interpret complex technical blueprints to ensure component accuracy and perform rigorous first and last-piece quality inspections.
• Optimize production workflows by applying deep knowledge of metal characteristics to improve bending efficiency.
• Document production progress and labor metrics accurately within our internal management systems.
• Uphold a high standard of workplace safety and organization to maintain a seamless manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet output targets and support operational goals.

Preferred Skills

• Five or more years of dedicated experience within the sheet metal fabrication sector.
• Hands-on experience with Amada or Trumpf press brake systems.
• Familiarity with Epicor or similar ERP software for production tracking.
• Completion of relevant technical or vocational training programs.
