Job summary

Smart Trades in North Salt Lake, UT is seeking Metal Finishing Technicians to grind, sand, deburr and finish metal components to meet production and quality standards. Work Mon-Thu 3:30 PM–2:00 AM on a 4-day, 10-hour shift with a 10% swing shift differential.

Candidates with experience in metal finishing and tool operation will thrive; ability to follow work instructions and maintain quality is essential. The role offers steady schedule and a chance to contribute to a growing facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in metal grinding, finishing, fabrication, or manufacturing preferred.

Smart Trades is hiring Metal Finishing Technicians for a metal manufacturing facility in North Salt Lake, UT! This position involves grinding, sanding, deburring, and finishing metal components to meet production and quality standards.

Enjoy a consistent Monday–Thursday schedule, three-day weekends, and an additional 10% swing shift differential! Location: North Salt Lake, UT Pay Rate: $17–$20/hr DOE + 10% Swing Shift Differential Monday–Thursday | 3:30 PM–2:00 AM 4-Day Work Week | 10-Hour Shifts

Responsibilities:

• Grind, sand, deburr & smooth metal parts
• Remove welds, sharp edges & surface imperfections
• Use grinders, sanders & other hand/power tools
• Inspect finished parts for quality
