Job summary

MPE, Inc. is hiring a Metal Finishing Operator in Milwaukee, WI. You will prepare sheet metal parts for paint, sand, grind, and deburr to achieve a uniform finish, following work orders and drawings. Training is provided for those without finishing experience, in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Second shift is available, Monday–Friday, 2:30pm–11:00pm. The role emphasizes quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement within a regulated manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, and drawings.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools like tape measures and calipers.
• Willingness to learn finishing equipment via training.

Responsibilities

• Operate sanders and grinders to produce paint-ready finishes.
• Read work orders and drawings to determine finishing needs.
• Inspect parts for quality and document production records.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
• Meet production goals for quality and on-time completion.
