Essential Job Function:
Grind, file, or sand metal surfaces to remove burrs and sharp edges using hand tools and grinders
Visually and physically inspect parts for any dents or scratches
Operate machines to perform simple machine operations on highly repetitive and standardized parts
Understand blueprint reading
Interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine the finish condition of workpieces, sequences of metal finishing operations, and setup requirements.
Follow all company policies and procedures as applicable to the position
Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures
Understand and follow the required processes and methods to achieve company standards for quality safety, and IATF 16949/ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Education and/or Experience:
Must be 18 or older
Previous experience in a weld fabrication environment is preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Abilities, Skills and Knowledge
Ability to use various hand tools
Ability to use gauges to check parts
Requires a fundamental knowledge of machine shop operations acquired by on-the-job training
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
