Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing in Wisconsin is hiring an Automotive Finish Technician/Painter to prepare truck parts and apply finishes. You will use hand and power tools to prep surfaces, apply primers, and potentially paint parts as needed, while maintaining safety standards and coordinating with teammates.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read blueprints/truck prints, and comfort with rotating between painting, sanding, and taping tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three or more years of experience in industrial painting preferred.
• Willingness to train for touch-up work and cross-training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces of truck parts for painting using hand and power tools.
• Follow instructions and safety procedures to maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Mix, apply, and remove body filler to even surfaces and defects in metal.
• Understand parts, equipment, and tools used for paint prepping.
• Inspect equipment and parts for defects and read truck prints on a computer.
• Rotate between painting, sanding, and taping as directed.
