Job summary

Skeeter, a division building trailers, is seeking a Metal Fabricator to join our production team. You will fabricate steel and aluminum trailers, read blueprints, operate metalworking equipment, and weld with MIG and stick processes.

The role involves lifting heavy parts and working in hot conditions on site in Kilgore, Texas. You'll build jigs, fixtures, and trailers per drawings, maintain a clean work area, and support R&D with welding tasks when needed.

Qualifications

• Operate metalworking equipment including MIG/STICK welders, torches, plasma cutters.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints/drawings.
• Lift and handle heavy components up to 75 lbs.
• Work in heat, maintain clean workspace and safety.
• Flexible hours as needed to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Construct and fabricate steel trailers per drawings.
• Weld components with MIG and stick welding processes.
• Build jigs and fixtures for production.
• Assist R&D with welding and fabrication tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow instructions and complete tasks timely.

Job Summary

Position is required to maintain the production of Steel and Aluminum Trailers.

Job Duties

• Construct and fabricate steel boat trailers.
• Welding Certification required.
• Ensure parts are correct to build product.
• Build jigs and fixtures of all sizes and shapes required in production operation.
• Build all steel trailers per engineering Blue Prints and Drawings.
• Versatile in Depts. 7000 7010 7020.
• Assist R&D with welding and fabricating tasks.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Any other duties assigned.

• Be able to operate metal working equipment.
