Job summary

Damotech is seeking a Metal Fabricator in Missouri to join our safety-focused team. You will operate fabrication machinery, read blueprints, and set up dies and fixtures to produce precise metal components. The role emphasizes accurate measurement and adjustment for efficient multi-pass machining.

Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with 3-day weekends. Overtime is available. Damotech offers comprehensive benefits and a commitment to safer warehouses nationwide.

Qualifications

• Experience operating metal fabrication machines and reading blueprints or technical drawings.
• Ability to set up and adjust tooling, dies, and fixtures per specifications.
• Familiarity with quality checks using gauges and rulers.

Responsibilities

• Selects, positions, and secures dies, blades, and fixtures on machines.
• Adjusts machine controls for stroke depth, speed, and angle.
• Marks and aligns work pieces using templates and measuring tools.
• Starts machine and modifies setup for multiple passes based on output.
• Inspects finished parts for accuracy using gauges and rulers.

Metal Fabricator

40 hours/week Monday to Thursday: 3-day weekends

Skills needed / tasks:

• Selects, positions, and secures dies, blades, cutters, and fixtures onto machine, using rule, square, shims, templates, hand-tools, and built-in gauges.
• Positions and clamps stops, guides, and turntables.
• Adjusts controls to set and regulate machining factors, such as pressure and depth of ram stroke, adjustment rolls, blade angle, and machine speed.
• Locates and marks bending or cutting lines and reference points on work piece, using instruments, such as rule and compass, or by tracing from templates.
• Positions work piece against stops and guides or aligns layout marks with dies or cutting blades
• Starts machine and evaluates machine operation to reposition work piece, change dies, or adjust machine settings for multiple or successive passes.
• Inspects or measures work, using rule, gauges, and templates.
• Forklift training will be provided.
