Job summary

AMETEK Irvine is seeking a Bellows Fabricator to assist in forming bellows components and related products. The role includes deburring, material forming, reading prints, and using calibrated tools.

You will read technical drawings, operate power tools and forming machinery, and help improve productivity within the fabrication team. We value at least 2 years in manufacturing/aerospace, a high school diploma, and willingness to learn forklift or crane operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school training a plus.
• 2+ years in manufacturing/aerospace.
• May need to obtain Forklift certification and in-house training to operate crane.
• Ability to work flexible hours to support overtime requirements.
• Able to lift 10 pounds consistently without assistance, 50 pounds occasionally with assistance.
• Knowledge of general workshop tools and equipment pertaining to sheet metal and the aerospace industries.
• Must be able to understand and interpret technical drawings to military and aerospace specifications.

Responsibilities

• Polish and remove burrs from metal parts using power disc sander, rotary files, manual hand files, tumbler machines, hand knives and other deburring tools.
• Set-up and operate hand power tools, drill presses, simple drill jigs, tube sizing, end finish, bead rollers, pull-thru, nibbler, plug size and ring size machines.
• Set up and operate all shear machines, grob saw, abrasives and bar saws.
• Set up, operate, and tear down machinery for tube forming, sizing, and bending as well as brake forming.
• Share knowledge with operations and other set-up personnel as directed.
• Assist department in developing techniques to increase productivity, quality, and throughput; share job knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned in component fabrication.

How You Will Do It
