Job summary

CAROLINA ATLANTIC ROOFING SUPPLY LLC in Gallatin, TN is hiring a Metal Fabricator to receive shipments, prepare orders, and fabricate trims and edge metal systems.

You will maintain safety, perform inventory controls, and work with supervisors and coworkers to meet schedules. High school diploma and ability to lift 50 lbs are required; benefits include health, life, disability, 401(k), PTO and holidays.

About this position

The Metal Fabricator is responsible for receiving in-bound shipments, organizing material, fabrication of trims and edge metal systems, fabrication of specialty components, and routine maintenance of equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule
• Receive and process materials
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for cycle counts
• Keep a clean and safe working environment
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience working with others
• Familiarity with sheet metal and sheet metal equipment
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift objects greater than 50 LBS on a consistent basis
• High school or equivalent degree
• Willingness to take on special projects as assigned
