Job summary

Sealed Air in Massachusetts is seeking a Morning Shift Manufacturing Technician to operate and maintain metal fabrication equipment from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour.

You will follow safety procedures, read blueprints, perform machining operations on aluminum, cold rolled steel, and stainless steel, and ensure parts meet specifications. 8 hours standing, lifting, and routine housekeeping are expected.

Qualifications

• 1 year metal fabrication shop experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints required.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Familiarity with aluminum, cold rolled steel, and stainless steel is helpful.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Review specifications for operating sequence of machine.
• Loads work pieces, operates, runs, and unloads machines (CNC, Press Brake, Laser, etc.).
• Maintain specifications by tapping, pemming, drilling, grooving, milling, and cutting.
• Adjust speeds, feeds, and bend allowances.
• Clean and maintain machine and tooling.
• Measure finished work to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Lift work pieces, fixtures, etc.
• Maintains clean work area and participates in general housekeeping in department.
• Detect malfunctions and troubleshoot.
• Adhere to all company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
