Job summary

Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School in Fall River, MA is seeking a Metal Fabrication & Joining Technologies Instructor to lead classroom and shop-based instruction aligned with the Massachusetts DESE frameworks.

The position follows the district contract with a salary range of $55,626 to $110,425 per year, and a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30am to 2:43pm. Starting date is October 5, 2026, with license requirements or waivers as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Five years of full-time employment experience directly related to metal fabrication & joining technologies.
• An associate’s degree may substitute for one of five years of required employment experience, provided that the degree includes subject matter related to one or more strands of the Vocational Technical Education Framework in metal fabrication & joining technologies*, and/or in education.
• A bachelor’s degree may substitute for two of five years of required employment experience, provided that the degree includes subject matter related to the Technical Knowledge and Skills strand (Strand 2) of the Vocational Technical Education Framework in Metal Fabrication & Joining Technologies*, and/or in vocational education.

Responsibilities

• Instruction will be in accordance with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Vocational Technical Education Frameworks for Metal Fabrication & Joining Technologies.
• Physical requirements include lifting 35-50 pounds occasionally and standing for extended periods.
• Ensure safety and compliance per district contract and DESE standards.
