Job summary

ADP, Inc. seeks a Foundry Operator to support melting, pouring and finishing castings in a production environment. You will move materials, assemble flasks, prepare sand molds, and ensure clean, safe operations on the line.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic MS Office skills and the ability to work with hand and power tools. Overtime may be required in a fast-paced foundry setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimal experience acceptable for entry level roles.
  • Basic MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet skills.
  • Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting and planning skills.
  • Basic verbal and written communication; mathematical concepts understood.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and with customers.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools, forklifts, welding equipment and cutting torches.

Responsibilities

  • Move sand, castings, flasks and materials around the foundry.
  • Assemble flasks and prepare molds for production.
  • Mix and prepare sand; bind, dry and finish surfaces.
  • Pour molten metal into molds and transfer castings to next steps.
  • Clean castings, flasks and patterns; remove gates and projections.
  • Operate tools to break sand molds and separate castings.
  • Ensure proper safety, housekeeping and quality controls.
