Freeform seeks an Additive Manufacturing Development Engineer to advance metal 3D printing technology, including machine function, part quality analysis, and DFAM recommendations for top manufacturers. You’ll own projects from concept to printing, testing, and delivery, leveraging first-principles thinking to push system capabilities.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• Hands-on design experience from internships or engineering clubs (FSAE, Baja SAE, rocket/robotics clubs)
• Full life-cycle hardware design experience from hand calculations to CAD to fabrication and testing
• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and first-principles problem solving

Responsabilidades

• Understand system capabilities and work with internal teams to automate printing for high-volume production
• Oversee print production development: DFAM feedback, file preparation, printing, post-processing, quality control
• Analyze in-situ data and post-print quality to drive improvements
• Document requirements, SOPs, and project plans for all stakeholders
• Interface with customers to communicate capabilities and improve DFAM
