Job summary

Techiva Inc is seeking a skilled MS Exchange Engineer for a 6-month contract in Chester County, PA. The role focuses on migrating users from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013, requiring extensive skills in Exchange administration, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience and be responsible for high-level issue resolution, administration, and architecture in a multi-forest environment with more than 12,000 users. Local candidates only.

Job Description

The project’s focus is on migrating users from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013 on premises and upgrading users to Lync 2013.
Experience in: MS Exchange 2007/2013, Windows Server 2012/2008/2003, Administration, MS Lync 2013/2010, MS Unified Messaging. Experience with architecting /designing and deploying Exchange 2010/2013 servers in a virtual environment on the various storage solutions and site resiliency requirements. Thorough understanding of performance impacts with regards to server configuration when deploying DAGs in a virtual environment. Exchange Scripting, PowerShell, Documentation of environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years extensive MS Exchange administration specific experience required in enterprise environment (12k users): Exchange 2013/2010/2007.
• Microsoft Mail system and Active Directory Experience.
• Architecting complex cross forest/cross platform mail system migration.
• Architecting complex AD forest consolidation.
• Mail system migration project experience from non‑Microsoft to Microsoft or vice‑versa would be added advantage.
• IT Infrastructure domain knowledge is a must.
• Deep skills with Exchange 2007/2010/2013 Design / Migration / Implementation and Support.
• Strong Active Directory consolidation and migration skills.
• Strong Windows Server 2012/2008 skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Forefront Identity Management (FIM) is a plus.
• Strong competency in PowerShell/VBScript/WMI scripting to automate daily tasks.
• Advanced Microsoft Certification like MCSE, CCNA, Exchange 2007/2010 certification preferred.
• The MS Exchange Engineer will be responsible for working to resolve calls and tickets for higher level escalation issues.
• Candidate will also be responsible for some architecture, management, and day‑to‑day administration of the multi‑forest 2013/2007 Exchange environment (12,000+ users).
• Additional tasks may include: Exchange scripting, SMTP routing, TLS, creating or decommissioning email domains, SPF and MX records.
