Mess Attendant

Salary Range: $17.77 To $17.77 Annually

The Mess Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the dining area and assisting with food service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize dining tables and chairs.
• Assist with serving food and beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area and restrooms.
• Washing dishes, pots and pans, mopping floors, cleaning equipment
• Cleaning back dock areas and cleaning around facilities and windows
• Dispose of trash and maintain waste disposal areas.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, grasp, overhead reaching, grasp, and stand and walk up to 4 hours per shift.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Any other tasks given by your immediate supervisor or manager.
• Candidate must be able to carry out and fulfil all tasks given to them independently and in a timely manner.

This position is located in a government-operated facility where building temperature control systems are managed by the government. During equipment malfunctions or maintenance periods, employees may be required to work in environments with extreme heat or cold until repairs are completed. The incumbent must be able to safely perform all essential job functions under these conditions.
