Job summary

Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU) seeks a Branch Member Service Representative at the Mesquite branch to deliver teller and personal banking support with a focus on member relationships and fraud awareness.

You will process transactions, educate members on products, and uphold RBFCU standards while working a flexible Mon-Sat schedule. Bilingual Spanish/English certification adds $2/hour. First-week onboarding and ongoing development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Six months of work experience in financial services, customer service or sales preferred.
• Flexible Monday through Saturday schedule; able to cover staffing at any location within the region.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, solve problems, and use PC/software.

Responsibilities

• Provide enthusiastic, professional, courteous service to members and prospective members.
• Process transactions in person, via video, drive-thru, or phone channels.
• Maintain cash controls and adhere to policies and laws.
• Engage with members to uncover needs and recommend products/services.
• Support branch sales culture and maintain branch standards.
• Act as Branch Reservist handling Member Service Center calls.
• Assess deposits for fraud and impersonation to mitigate losses.
• Assist with opening/updating/closing accounts and knowledge of RBFCU agreements.
• Prepare teller reports and escort members as requested.
• Observe safety procedures and report hazards.
• All other duties as assigned.

The RBFCU Branch Operations Team is seeking a full time Branch Member Service Representative in the Mesquite branch location starting at $20.00/hour! We are also offering a sign-on bonus for Branch Member Service Representatives! New hires will receive $250 in their first paycheck, $500 following 90 days of employment, and $500 following six months of employment (applicable taxes and withholdings). Join our team today!

As a Branch Member Service Representative (MSR) you will be the face of RBFCU, providing exceptional service to our members and prospective members in a role that combines both Teller and Personal Banker functions. You’ll engage with our members and prospective members to build relationships, utilize your problem‑solving skills to identify needs, and educate them on products and services that will improve their financial well‑being and quality of life. You’ll review deposit products for fraud and risk, while assessing each interaction for potential impersonation to mitigate fraud losses for the organization. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provide enthusiastic, professional, quality, prompt, and courteous service to members, prospective members, and RBFCU team.
• Process a variety of transactions in various settings that may include in person, video conference, drive‑thru, and telephonic engagement channels.
• Maintain control of cash and negotiable instruments in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory laws.
• Engage members and prospective members through consultative, needs‑based conversations by actively listening, asking open ended questions, and demonstrating empathy to uncover financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services, while consistently meeting or exceeding minimum sales goals.
• Support RBFCU sales culture, and ensure branch standards are achieved by reinforcing best practices, modeling consultative behaviors, and holding a high level of self‑accountability to performance expectations.
• Perform in the capacity of Branch Reservist taking calls for the Member Service Center to handle incoming requests from members via this channel.
• Assess all deposits for potential fraud and each interaction for impersonation to mitigate fraud losses.
• Assist members and prospective members with needs that incorporate other internal departments, such as Consumer Lending, Mortgage and Credit Union Service Organizations, and comply with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory laws.
• Qualify members, and assist with opening, updating, and closing accounts, and maintain a current working knowledge of the RBFCU Membership and Account Agreement.
• Prepare various teller reports, and escort members into designated areas when requested.
• Observe safety and security procedures, and report potentially unsafe conditions.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• Six months of work experience (financial institution, customer service or sales experience preferred)
• Attendance and promptness are pertinent; must be able to work a flexible Monday through Saturday schedule
• Must be able to cover staffing at any location within the respective region if a business need arises including branch transfers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to solve problems, make timely and informed decisions, and apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Proficient in utilizing PC, software and other office equipment
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Good vision (correctable), hearing, and manual dexterity; must be able to reach with hands and arms; must be able to speak clearly
