Job summary

Jobot is hiring an IT MES Specialist in Logansport, IN to improve and eventually implement a new MES system. This role offers long-term growth with a clear path to IT leadership and exposure to cutting-edge manufacturing technologies.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience with C#, databases, and experience in a manufacturing environment; Mandarin fluency is a plus. You will work with IT and Production teams, lead projects, and document system designs for reliable MES operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of database systems (Oracle, Firebird, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL) and SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with C# or a comparable object-oriented programming language.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify and communicate concerns.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and track multiple concurrent projects to completion.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in an MES, IT, or manufacturing systems role.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and customize the MES to support evolving production requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues affecting MES functionality.
• Set up and maintain product routing within the MES environment.
• Ensure accurate data collection and analysis to track performance metrics and identify trends.
• Monitor system performance, security, and stability; perform routine maintenance and apply patches/updates.
• Collaborate with IT and Production to integrate MES with external equipment and enterprise systems.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation of system designs, configurations, and procedures.
• Lead IT projects from conception through completion, including planning, execution, and post-project documentation.
