Job summary

Vishay Siliconix Itzehoe GmbH is seeking an IT Application Engineer to provide MES technical support, manage user access, and help implement and configure MES systems. You will perform MES updates, OS patches (RHEL), and database maintenance (Oracle RAC, MS SQL Server) while ensuring robust, distributed application environments.

The role requires a degree in CS or IT training, MES experience, Linux knowledge, basic programming, and German/English proficiency.

Qualifications

Degree in computer science or vocational training as IT specialist.
Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES); AMAT 300works is a plus.
Experience in technical support, ideally in manufacturing.
Experience operating, maintaining and expanding distributed application environments.
Knowledge of Linux (RHEL).
Basic programming skills for MES.
Knowledge of databases (Oracle/MS SQL).
Basic knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing is desirable.
German and English skills (min B1).
Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call for production outages (24/7).

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for MES and user management.
Assist with system implementation and configuration.
Perform MES updates and patches with the vendor.
Perform OS updates/patches (RHEL) and MES DB patches (Oracle RAC, MS SQL Server).
Contribute to maintenance of distributed application environments.
