Position Summary:

Support the service group and sales staff by performing startup, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC products, including but not limited to Variable Refrigerant Flow systems, VFD, AHUs, RTUs, Chillers, etc.

Position Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with startup, commissioning, and servicing for Daikin VRV systems.
  2. Assist with HVAC equipment replacement, installation, and retrofit.
  3. Assist with startup and commissioning of HVAC products from brands such as Daikin Applied, Daikin North America, Huntair, Temtrol, Venmar, and BAC cooling towers.
  4. Work closely with service coordinators for daily direction and scheduling.
  5. Prioritize safety by working in a safe manner and taking personal responsibility for safety.
  6. Assist with startup, warranty paperwork, and service reports promptly.
  7. Operate a company vehicle safely, maintaining a clean driving record.
  8. Work schedule is Monday through Friday with flexibility for overtime and weekends as needed.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Nature & Scope:

Self-motivated with creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently without direct supervision.

Knowledge & Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Computer skills for navigating factory diagnostic and commissioning programs/tools are strongly recommended.
Additional Requirements:

UA Local 32 assessment test may be necessary. Knowledge of DOE standards is a plus.

Experience:

At least 1+ years of HVAC experience.

Education & Certifications:
  • Certification from an accredited HVAC trade school or an apprentice card from an approved apprenticeship program.
  • Washington State L&I O6A Journeyman Electrical Trainee Card is required.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
  • Ability to lift over 75 pounds.
  • Work often occurs in extreme conditions, indoors and outdoors, on lifts, ladders, etc.
  • Potential for local travel across WA territory.

Pay Range:

$43.17/hour plus union benefits (Local 32). Subject to UA 32 pay schedule.
