Amkor Technology, Inc. in Arizona is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer (MES/Factory Automation) to help implement and operate MES, CIM, automation, and quality systems for the ATA greenfield facility.

The role emphasizes configuration, integration, and deployment over development, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to build scalable, reliable factory systems. The ideal candidate will have a BS in engineering/CS/IS, 3–6 years in manufacturing IT or semiconductor systems, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
3–6 years in manufacturing IT, factory automation, or semiconductor manufacturing systems.
Hands-on experience with MES, CIM/EAP/RMS, automation, logistics, or quality systems (SPC, FDC).
Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and shop floor operations.
Experience supporting production manufacturing systems; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Configure, test, and support MES and related manufacturing systems.
Integrate MES with CIM/EAP, automation systems (AMHS/OHT), quality systems, and ERP.
Manage system interfaces and data flows (lot tracking, WIP, recipes, dispatching logic).
Maintain manufacturing master data (process flows, equipment, materials, recipes).
Troubleshoot system issues impacting manufacturing operations and data integrity.
Collaborate with vendors (e.g., AMAT) and cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, IT, automation).
Participate in system design reviews and requirement definition.
Document system functionality, enhancements, and procedures.
