Job summary

Blucor in Lawrenceville, GA seeks an experienced MES Engineer to optimize Ignition-based MES applications across our Toner operation. You will develop and improve production data capture and system performance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires hands-on experience with Ignition, PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and SQL databases, and you will collaborate closely with engineering and maintenance teams to implement robust MES solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience using IGNITION in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience with PLCs, networking, servers, and related tools.
• Familiarity with HMI, SCADA, and PLCs in industrial environments.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C# and core programming concepts.
• Experience with SQL queries and MS SQL databases.
• Strong analytical, math, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
• Intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Model and enforce safety-focused procedures for employees and processes.
• Evaluate, select, install, and configure software/hardware in the manufacturing environment; install manufacturing execution systems.
• Troubleshoot MES-related hardware and software issues and determine root causes.
• Analyze and identify improvements to software/hardware performance and reliability.
• Design and develop new or replacement MES applications.
• Prepare training materials and train personnel on equipment usage and maintenance.
• Create preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Work across roles as developer, product manager, support engineer, and troubleshooter.
