Job description

The Position

The ITOT Team in Hillsboro supports Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO), which is the commercial Make Assess and Release (MAR) and launch site for North America, as well as Hillsboro Individualized and Cell Therapies (HIT), transitioning into a multi-product facility for development, clinical, and commercial supply capabilities for individualized and cell therapies.

The role will support Genentech's Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO) in Hillsboro, Oregon, a Drug Product manufacturing facility involved in Component Preparation & Compounding, Liquid/Lyophilized Filling, Automated/Manual Inspection, Packaging/Finished Products, and Distribution. This position focuses on Recipe Author activities for operations utilizing MES.

Details
  • 12-month contract (possible extension up to 36 months)
  • Day shift, flexible hours, on-site position
  • Pay rate: $86/hr - $121/hr (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing Execution System (MES) (Syncade & PharmaSuite) recipe authoring and software development
  • Troubleshooting plant floor MES execution and business system integration issues
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate and site business processes, design principles, and quality procedures
  • Developing, reviewing, and approving qualification test plans and executing them
  • Implementing production tech transfer requirements into automation IT systems
  • Developing solutions for reporting, operational analysis, recipe enhancements, batch review/release, and system integration
  • Contributing to the development and optimization of business processes and MES standards
  • Providing consulting with Business Process owners in the Value Streams
  • Supporting MES projects, process improvements, and support initiatives with MES Recipe Authoring expertise
Qualifications / Requirements
  • BSc/MS in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of manufacturing execution systems experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle routine and urgent tasks independently
  • Experience in testing, documenting, and validating systems
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and deliver quality results
  • Autonomous work style, collaborating with Engineering and Value Streams
  • Experience with global MES standards and templates, particularly PharmaSuite
  • Willingness to support after-hours on-call duties at least once a month
  • This role is on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon
