Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a MES Systems Administrator to reinforce MES delivery across high-tech R&D Lab environments. You will deploy, operate, and optimize mission-critical MES installations, ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in systems administration.
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift in containerized deployments.
• Solid background in Linux networking, volumes, services, and journaling.
• Hands-on experience with VMware or Hyper-V for VM provisioning and config.
• Strong problem-solving and investigative skills with a log-oriented approach.
• Ability to troubleshoot beyond standard procedures and maintain ownership.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication, cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployments of MES and application environments.
• Execute remote installations of MES environments and applications.
• Validate pre-conditions, dependencies, and compatibility before deployment.
• Manage environment governance and access.
• Optimize and scale MES environments and monitor resource usage.
• Identify scaling needs and perform capacity adjustments.
• Troubleshoot complex deployment issues and analyze logs/events.
• Contribute to automation tooling, playbooks, and knowledge bases.
