Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions (VWTS) is seeking a Junior Manufacturing Software Engineer to develop and maintain software used in manufacturing environments. You will focus on upgrading legacy systems, integrating MES, and visualizing process metrics with dashboards while collaborating across cross-functional teams.

The role requires knowledge of VC++, C#, Java, Python, and SQL, with production floor and office/lab work, and a compensation range of $78,000–$90,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Information Technology, or relevant degree.
• Minimum 2 years of programming experience, preferably at least 1 year of programming experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain software applications and databases that support manufacturing in a variety of languages VC++, C#, Java, Python, MySQL, Tableau.
• Oversee the day-to-day administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and ongoing support of the MES system.
• Create documentation for software usage, maintenance, and other requirements.
• Work closely with management, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to design and develop intuitive custom applications to reduce downtime, maintain regulatory compliance, and improve productivity.
• Create and execute advanced SQL queries to produce process metrics, reports, and live dashboards.
• Liaison for manufacturing and Corporate IT for project implementation.
