Job Description:

This role involves working with high-net-worth clients with annual revenues of $100k-$5mm, identifying needs, developing relationships, reviewing investment goals, and preparing recommendations aligned with client objectives. Responsibilities include leveraging technology for business growth, profiling clients to determine their investor profile and financial goals, building a sustainable book of business, and providing opportunities for advisors to advance within the bank. This position requires SAFE Act registration; all employees involved in residential mortgage loan origination must register with the federal registry and maintain good standing. Failure to do so may lead to disciplinary actions, including termination.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored advice through reviews and presentations, assessing financial goals and recommending strategies.
  • Communicate suitable solutions for clients’ financial needs, including banking, investment, and life solutions.
  • Partner with Financial Advisors to expand networks by sharing market insights and discussing new products to promote portfolio growth.
  • Utilize the full resources of the bank to benefit clients and prospects.
  • Develop and grow a book of business to meet financial targets and advance career progression.
  • Prioritize client requests and connect them with appropriate internal services based on their needs and asset thresholds.

The Advisor Development Program (ADP) Journey:

This program guides you through training to become a successful, independent Financial Advisor, working with both affluent and high-net-worth clients to develop relationship management skills and operate in an Elite Growth Practice. The role offers a pathway to a career within Merrill Wealth Management, with training located in a Merrill branch.

  • Receive training and mentorship, enroll in our Academy, and develop your skills.
  • Build your network and business through interactions with advisors, clients, and partners.
  • Deliver confident financial reviews and recommendations.
  • Learn about comprehensive financial solutions to meet client needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Series 7 & 66 licenses (or Series 63 & 65 in lieu of 66).
  • Two years of experience in financial services or sales with goal achievement.
  • At least one year in investments, with in-depth product knowledge.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, relationship-builder, effective communicator.
  • Ability to manage goals, prioritize, and adapt quickly.
  • Diligent in regulatory compliance and client strategies.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven lead generation and partnership skills.
  • Experience balancing management, sales, and client development.
  • Strong computer skills and multitasking ability.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business.
  • Additional credentials like CFP or CRPC are a plus.
  • Insurance licenses are advantageous.
