Job Description

You’ll advise and guide clients on how to achieve their financial goals and support them with personal investing tools and resources.

During this stage, the Merrill Financial Solutions Advisor (Merrill FSA) will receive training and guidance through a defined path to become a financial advisor. You will work with both affluent and high net worth clients, identifying needs, developing relationships, reviewing investment goals, and preparing investment recommendations. This role helps develop relationship management skills necessary to operate in an Elite Growth Practice (EGP). Located in a Merrill branch, this position offers a pathway to a career within Merrill Wealth Management, with opportunities for growth after demonstrating success as an MFSA.

This position requires SAFE Act registration, including background checks and registration processes. Failure to maintain registration may result in termination.

Required skills
  • Series 7 & 66 licenses (or 63 & 65 in lieu of 66).
  • At least two years in financial services or a sales environment, with investment knowledge.
  • Self-starter with effective time management.
  • Goal-oriented, relationship builder, and effective communicator.
  • Ability to navigate complexity and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and incorporate regulatory diligence.
Desired skills
  • Proven lead generation and partnership skills.
  • Experience in investment management and client development.
  • Strong computer skills and multitasking ability.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business.
  • Additional professional designations like CFP or CRPC.
