Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a highly motivated mid-level Associate Attorney to join a nationally recognized AmLaw 100 law firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance practice in Atlanta. The role is hybrid and offers exposure to sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions, with a strong emphasis on private equity deals.

The candidate will have 4–6 years of substantive M&A experience, be admitted to the Georgia Bar in good standing, and possess excellent written and oral

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of substantive M&A and complex corporate transactions.
• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and related documents.
• Experience advising on private equity transactions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic corporate transactions, with focus on private equity‑sponsored deals.
• Manage all phases of M&A transactions, including structuring, diligence, drafting, negotiation, and closing.
• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, ancillary agreements, and transaction documentation.
• Lead and coordinate legal due diligence efforts, supervising junior attorneys and synthesizing findings for clients.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients and external advisors throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Collaborate with attorneys across corporate, tax, finance, and regulatory disciplines to deliver integrated legal solutions.

Our client, a nationally recognized AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking a highly motivated mid-level Associate Attorney to join its Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance practice in Atlanta. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a sophisticated, fast-paced transactional group that handles complex domestic and cross-border M&A matters, with a strong emphasis on private equity transactions and private-company acquisitions. The role offers significant client exposure, responsibility, and the chance to collaborate with seasoned deal professionals on high-value transactions.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in Georgia, in good standing
• 4–6 years of substantive experience handling mergers and acquisitions and complex corporate transactions
• Sophisticated law firm experience advising on complex M&A and corporate finance matters
• Strong experience managing private equity transactions and private-target M&A
• Proven ability to manage complex deal timelines, coordinate with subject matter experts and junior team members, and oversee transaction workflows from diligence through closing
• Experience drafting and negotiating equity and asset purchase agreements, disclosure schedules, and ancillary transaction documents
• Extensive experience conducting, analyzing, and summarizing legal due diligence
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to interact effectively with clients, investment bankers, and other external advisors
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to distill complex legal issues into practical, actionable advice
• Demonstrated ownership mentality, strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment
