Job summary

Mercy South Float Pool is seeking an adaptable Registered Nurse to provide care across Orthopedics, Med/Surg, Telemetry, ICU, and other units. Enjoy variety, ongoing learning, and a meaningful impact on patient outcomes within Mercy’s mission.

We offer a full-time role with a generous sign-on bonus of $20,000 and flexible payment options. RNs earn tiered shifts differentials and weekend/evening premiums, with opportunities to grow and advance within Mercy North and South campuses.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of bedside RN experience
• Nursing degree from an accredited school (BSN preferred)
• Current RN license in the state
• BLS certification by American Heart Association
• Physical requirements: lift 50 lbs, standing and walking for long periods

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care across multiple hospital units as part of Mercy South Float Pool
• Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
• Support continuous learning and cross-unit skill development
• Uphold Mercy Service Standards and the Code of Conduct

Job description

Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Full-Time Sign-On Bonus: $20,000

We offer flexible sign-on bonus options to fit your needs:

• Flexible, No-Contract Option: Bonus paid in four equal installments at 6, 12, 18, and 24 months.
• Upfront Payment Option: Receive 50% at start and the remaining 50% at 6 months with a 2-year commitment.

Competitive Pay with Tiered Differentials:

• Tier 3 (Med/Surg): +$5.00/hr
• Tier 2 (Stepdown): +$7.50/hr
• Tier 1 (ICU): +$10.00/hr

Additional Shift Differentials:

• Evening: +$2.75/hr
• Night: +$4.60/hr
• Weekend: +$1.50/hr

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1–2 years of bedside RN experience
• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited school (BSN preferred)
• License: Current RN license in the state
• Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association
• Physical requirements/demands:
  • Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Prolonged standing and walking each shift
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
