Job summary

Brunswick's Mercury Racing division seeks dedicated assemblers for the Outboard Engine Build team. You will perform a variety of manufacturing assembly tasks to meet the production schedule, applying trained procedures and ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring strong mechanical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a sense of urgency. The role offers 1st shift hours (5:30am-2:00pm) with comprehensive benefits and a discretionary annual bonus potential.

Qualifications

  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical skills and problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive, dependable, and able to communicate quality concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly activities as required via trained procedures and/or work instructions.
  • Perform repetitive processes to meet production needs; prep long block assembly.
  • Dress/ancillary component assembly.
  • Disassemble mechanical systems and reassemble correctly.
  • Engine assembly experience required.
  • Gear set assembly, transmission and differential experience.
  • Use various assembly tools & measuring devices.
  • Maintain safe, quality-conscious work area and follow procedures.

Position Overview :

As part of the talented Outboard Engine Build team at Mercury Racing, you will perform a variety of manufacturing assembly related processes pertaining to Outboard Engine assembly to meet the production schedule

Essential Functions:


  • Perform assembly activities as required via trained procedures and/or work instructions

  • Perform repetitive processes to meet production needs Prepping Long block assembly capability

  • Dress / ancillary component assembly capability

  • Can disassemble a mechanical system & reassemble it correctly

  • Engine assembly experience

  • Gear set assembly, transmission and automotive differential experience

  • Experience using various assembly tools & measuring devices

  • Performs all required activities in a safe and quality conscious manner

  • Attend company provided meetings and training as required

  • Maintain a clean and safe working area in accordance with Procedures and Plant Safety Rules

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 2-year technical school training

  • 1-5 years of experience in related field

  • Working knowledge of LSS, ISO, & Safety methodologies


Working Conditions:


  • 1st shift - Hours are 5:30am-2:00pm.

  • Must be able to lift up to 30lbs.

  • Occasionally Sitting, Squatting, Stooping, and Crouching.

  • Frequently Standing and Walking

  • Required Personal Protective Equipment as per task (safety glasses / safety shoes / etc.)


The anticipated pay range for this position is $41,500-$62,300 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.
