Brunswick is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern for Mercury Marine in Brownsburg, IN. You will work with manufacturing professionals to learn production processes and own projects from inception to completion on the plant floor.

Expect a 40-hour work week during May–August 2027, with co-op program participation and full-time availability. Relocation support is provided; eligibility requires US work authorization and enrollment in a related BS program.

Qualifications

  • Permanent US Work Authorization required.
  • Currently enrolled in a BS program with a major in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant degree with Manufacturing Engineering emphasis.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in design reviews to improve manufacture of new parts and operations.
  • Evaluate test/production data, prepare technical analyses, and recommend manufacturing methods.
  • Design, plan, and conduct process improvement and/or cost reduction studies on products.
  • Evaluate vendor capability, identify new processes, and qualify new processes on our products.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing problems to drive production execution and maintain daily schedules.
  • Analyze data and make cost-reduction recommendations; communicate with all levels of the organization.
