Position Overview

You’ll guide high-risk and continuity merchants from the very first touchpoint to thriving performance on Phoenix. As a payments strategist, growth driver, and strategy consultant, you will secure new business, troubleshoot issues, plug merchants into our curated network of best-in-class service providers, and shape the strategic roadmap that unlocks their full potential on our platform.

What You'll Do

  • Merchant Acquisition: Prospect, qualify, and onboard high potential merchants through your existing network and outbound campaigns. Earn uncapped commissions for every new merchant activated.
  • Merchant Success: Diagnose root-cause issues (chargebacks, fraud spikes, MID thresholds) and deploy tailored remedies that protect revenue. Design and execute data-driven growth plans that lift LTV, reduce churn, keep merchants well ahead of foreseeable issues. Earn uncapped commissions based on merchant outcomes.
  • Merchant Support: Steer each merchant through critical revenue inflection points—mapping strategy, unlocking the right Phoenix features, and coordinating partner resources—to ensure they hit and exceed every milestone on their path to scale. Provide key reports and insights based on Phoenix data.
  • External Ambassador: Represent Phoenix across conferences, webinars, and communities—building trust, sharing success stories, and forging relationships with service providers, industry influencers, and potential merchants while channeling market insights back to our product and leadership teams.

Who You Are

  • High-Risk / Continuity Native: You’ve spent 3 + years deep in the trenches as a high-risk service provider—nutra, trial-to-bill, info products, or direct response. BIN-level routing, rolling reserves, and CB ratios are second nature, and you can navigate a new acquirer’s underwriting checklist in your sleep.
  • Familiarity with Direct Response Ecommerce: Our merchants are highly successful, direct response ecom merchants. You need to understand their universe and speak their language.
  • Customer-First Mindset: Our merchants tend to be multi-millionaire, serially successful entrepreneurs that expect a premium level of service. As a company, we live and die by customer success.
  • Strategic Problem-solver: Founders look to you for clear, decisive advice on how to ensure sustainable growth as they encounter new obstacles.
  • Strong Communicator: Whether it’s a midnight Slack escalation, Zoom about how to use our latest payment routing tech, or a quick overview of essential stats, you tailor your message to the audience and nail it every time.
