Job summary

Central Bank is seeking a Merchant Services Specialist to support business clients with account setup, product information, and issue resolution. The role emphasizes up-to-date knowledge of card networks and banking rules, with a focus on accurate communication and problem solving.

After training, a hybrid work schedule is available. The position offers collaboration with Holding Company banks and opportunities to participate in vendor visits and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong knowledge of business credit, deposit and cash management products and services.
• Provide merchant customer service support for Central Bank and Holding Company banks, handling day-to-day issues.
• Include new account setup, file maintenance, equipment deployment, and terminal troubleshooting.
• Explain account agreements and conduct system and account research as needed.
• Provide merchant service support for all Holding Company merchants; manage issues as they arise.
• Keep current on BankCard, MasterCard/VISA, Processor, and industry rules and procedures.
• Stay updated on merchant services product enhancements and software programs.
• Participate in training sessions, seminars, and vendor visits.
• Perform back up duties for other merchant services staff.
• Assist in special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Develop and maintain procedures for merchant services team as needed.
• This position offers the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule following the completion of training.
