Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. in Princeton, MN is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join a dynamic team led by the Store Manager.

You will focus on merchandising and processing freight while guiding a team of associates to create positive experiences for the communities we serve. You will support opening/closing, asset protection, and adherence to policies, maintaining clean and stocked spaces, and upholding a safe, friendly environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Keep the store clean and presentable including bathrooms.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
