Job summary

Dollar Tree in Tifton, GA is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the store leadership and oversee merchandising and freight processing. You’ll partner with the Store Manager to run a dynamic team and deliver positive community experiences.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, asset protection, policy adherence, stockroom maintenance, and executing directives. You’ll ensure clean, safe operations and a collaborative, energetic work environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Ensure store cleanliness and presentability; restrooms and floors.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and colleagues.
• Other duties as assigned.
