Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and driving merchandising excellence. In this role, you’ll focus on merchandising and processing freight while delivering friendly, safe, and efficient customer experiences.

You will help manage daily store operations, supervise associates, and ensure policy compliance in a fast-paced retail environment. This position is full-time and on-site at our Jackson, TN location.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and perform physical duties as needed.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including bathrooms.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sale items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
