Job summary

Houchens-Food-Group,-Inc. is seeking a team member to receive, stock, and issue sales floor merchandise. You will stock shelves, displays, and racks, keeping them full and fronted, and assist customers with product selections.

No prior experience is required; basic math, reliable attendance, and the ability to work in a cooler are needed. You will follow store schedules, record hours, and support management in daily merchandising tasks.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer customers' questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection.
• Observe scheduled shift hours as assigned by store manager and/or assistant manager.
• Give all customers friendly, courteous and prompt service.
• Stock shelves, displays, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise and maintain them fronted.
• Receive, open, unpack and issue sales floor merchandise.
• Properly clean and maintain display cases, shelves, equipment and aisles.
• Compare merchandise invoices to items received to ensure shipments are correct.
• Record all shift hours worked and verify/sign time sheet.
• Discuss problems concerning stock with the store manager and/or assistant manager.
• Perform tasks as assigned by the store manager and/or assistant manager.
