Sprouts Farmers Market seeks a Brand Merchandising Specialist to assist in developing and executing Sprouts Brand merchandising strategies across departments. You will monitor product performance, support lifecycle management, and contribute to new product development in collaboration with the Category Strategy Manager.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in retail purchasing/merchandising, a Bachelor's degree preferred, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years of experience in retail purchasing, marketing and/or merchandising.
• Retail private label experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and management of new items and programs targeting key consumer trends, optimizing overall product assortment.
• Assist in successful completion of all new product launches through monitoring development, preparation, and completion of products.
• Support Category Strategy Managers in merchandising plans that drive shared growth and category expansion.
• Collaborate with brand management, merchandising, marketing, legal, logistics and product safety teams.
• Manage product development projects and provide direction to Sprouts Brand team members.
• Maintain relationships with current suppliers and develop new supplier contacts.
• Conduct market research and assess opportunities for growth and profitability.
• Attend store visits, analyze data/trends, and follow industry news for opportunities.

Job Description

The Sprouts Brand Merchadnising Specialist is responsible for assisting with monitoring, maintaining, and executing against the Sprouts Brand merchandising strategies within assigned departments to drive revenue and growth. This position will remain current on the performances of all existing Sprouts Brand products to aide in product lifecycle management, while also assisting with and playing a central role in the new product development process. This role is an integral part of the Sprouts Brand team contributing ideas and expertise to support projects ensuring successful achievement of departmental goals and objectives. This position will work closely with the Category Strategy Manager of Sprouts Brand.

Overview Of Responsibilities

• Aide in the development and management of new items and programs targeting key consumer trends, optimizing overall product assortment
• Assist in successful completion of all new product launches through monitoring the development, preparation, and completion of products
• Support Category Strategy Managers in the development and achievement of merchandising plans that drive increased share and category growth
• Works collaboratively with internal cross functional departments including brand management, merchandising, marketing, legal, logistics and product safety
• Manage and monitor product development projects providing direction to Sprouts Brand team members and supporting organization
• Sustains strategic relationships with existing supplier base while also successfully developing relationships with new suppliers
• Aide in market research and evaluation of opportunities for growth and maximization of profits
• Maintains a high level of industry awareness through store visits, data/trend analysis, tradeshows, manufacturing facility visits and industry news sources
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Two (2) years of experience related to retail purchasing, marketing and/or merchandising
• Retail industry private label experience preferred
• Ability to influence without authority and maintain strategic relationships
• Requires outstanding communication skills amongst a strong interpersonal attitude that demonstrates organization, multi-tasking, and prioritization
• Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work and multi-task across many assignments
• Requires experience in Microsoft Suite, with a high-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High degree of creativity and ability to work independently
