Job summary

Responsibilities include stock checks, planogram compliance, and occasional cashier or delivery tasks. Strong teamwork and basic computer skills are required to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on sales floor and assist with locating merchandise or directing to a parts specialist.
• Check in, price, and stock merchandise.
• Keep displays full, fronted, and aligned with brand image.
• Update displays and price signs according to guidelines; restore pricing after sales.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Help complete store weekly inventory and merchandising tasks.
• Occasionally serve as cashier or drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Compensation Pay Range:

$12.77 - $18.40

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

The Merchandising Specialist will keep front sales floor/showroom area stocked, fronted, and clean. The Specialist will also complete sales preparations, greet customers on sales floor, and ensure the retail showroom presents a professional and inviting appearance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Greet customers on sales floor, assist them in location of merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist if hard parts are needed.

Check in, price, and put up stock.

Keep merchandise on display floor fronted, full, and assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities on a daily basis.

Change displays according to company guidelines, update planograms, complete price label changes, ensure “sale” signs are in place, etc.

Remove all sale material when sale ends and restore original pricing.

Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.

Work with manager to complete store weekly inventory and merchandising tasks.

Occasionally serve as a cashier or drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries (Driving record must meet the company mandated driving eligibility requirements) when business needs dictate.

All other duties as assigned.

Required:

Strong organizational skills

Ability to clearly read, write, and match numbers and letters from various sources

Basic computer skills.

Must be able to work well with others in a team environment

Desired:

Previous stocking experience

Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle

Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
