Overall Job Summary
The High Volume FAST Team Member is responsible for working as part of the Field Activity Support Team (FAST), primarily in a single store, to own and execute “start to finish” variable tasks such as planograms, signage, price changes, and physical inventories. They also support tasks including merchandise and fixture assembly, and signage maintenance. The High Volume FAST Team Member interacts with customers and team members, delivering a Legendary Customer Experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Work scheduled shifts Monday through Thursday unless otherwise dictated by business needs.
- Communicate proactively with District FAST Supervisor regarding work completion, issues, and solutions.
- Complete planograms and resets accurately and timely.
- Maintain visual merchandise standards.
- Perform store measurements and layout initiatives.
- Conduct accurate inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Complete Tractor Way top cap process and store price changes.
- Hang store signage including Circulars, Price Cuts, and Managers’ Specials.
- Assemble merchandise, fixtures, and PDQs.
- Review planogram integrity and perform detailed recovery.
- Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, Uncover Needs, Recommend Solutions, Add Value & Appreciate.
- Ensure a distinguished shopping experience for customers.
- Provide peak coverage as needed (e.g., DAT).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail and/or merchandising experience required. Knowledge in farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, write, and count accurately is essential.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge in farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and computer skills.
- Interpersonal skills to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.
- Self-directed with the ability to complete assignments independently.
Working Conditions
- Indoor and outdoor environments with moderate noise; hard surfaces and adequate lighting and temperature.
- Work shifts generally no less than 4 hours, potentially exceeding 8 hours.
- Maintain a safe, productive environment adhering to safety guidelines.
Physical Requirements
- Move and transfer merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Push/pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with proper equipment.
- Lift/reach merchandise overhead occasionally.
- Stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, climb ladders.
- Communicate effectively with team and customers.
- Handle contact with birds/poultry.
- Complete all required training.
