Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a store associate to execute receiving and merchandising standards while delivering an excellent customer experience at TJ Maxx stores in California. You will help maintain organization, train peers, and support management in achieving sales and safety goals.

Ideal candidates bring retail experience, leadership, and strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt to nights and weekends and work as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Executes receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates process efficiently and effectively.
• Engages with customers to provide an excellent experience and maintain a clean, organized store.
• Trains and mentors Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
• Ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, and coded; communicates flow of goods to sales floor.
• Promotes safety, policies, and core TJX standards across the store.
