Job summary

Fanatics Commerce is seeking a Merchandising Planner to own category-level performance through pre-season planning, in-season management, and SKU-level analysis. You will partner with product and buying teams to align inventory, assortment, and financial plans with customer demand and seasonal trends.

The role requires deep analytical capability and exceptional Excel proficiency, with a track record building tools, improving reporting, and translating data into clear, actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in merchandise/retail planning with ownership of pre-season and in-season planning.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience building tools, models, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of seasonality, demand trends, and inventory management.
• Ability to translate data into actionable cross-functional recommendations.
• Familiarity with markdowns, pricing, and margin optimization.
• Experience with reporting/visualization; Domo a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own pre-season and SKU-level plans reflecting demand patterns and seasonality.
• Analyze category and SKU performance to improve sell-through and margin.
• Manage in-season performance via weekly forecasts and plan adjustments.
• Support pricing and markdown decisions while protecting margins.
• Build Excel-based tools and reporting; use visualization tools for insight.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to inform decisions and identify trends.
• Apply AI-enabled solutions to streamline planning workflows.
