Job description

Merchandising Manager

Job responsibilities

· Assist in developing and executing merchandising strategies aligned with brand objectives and market trends.

· Analyze sales data, inventory reports, and market trends to optimize product assortment and stock levels.

· To ensure appropriate inventory distribution across stores.

· To select, forecast, and procure luxury merchandise that aligns with consumer preferences and brand positioning.

· Monitor sell-through rates and work with retail and marketing teams on markdowns, promotions, or replenishment strategies accordingly.

· Collaborate with marketing teams to develop compelling visual merchandising and promotional campaigns.

· Work closely with store teams to gather feedback on customer preferences and product performance.

· Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior in the luxury retail space.

· Attend wholesales show and manage orders placement with suppliers and orders allocation to stores.

· Maintain Item creation and Purchase Orders in POS.

· Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely product deliveries and quality compliance.

· Work with forwarders and suppliers on oversea shipments and shipping documents.

· Work with supplier and stores on short shipment, defective items and claim.

· Assist in Annual stock taking.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in a related field.

· 3-5 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or planning, preferably in the retail industry.

· Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.

· Understanding of retail financial metrics, sales forecasting, and inventory management.

· Passion for fashion and retail trends.

· Experience with POS systems is a plus.
