Building on this success, we are now strategically expanding into other private label product categories alongside 3P products base. We operate through our own websites and a wide range of prominent online marketplaces, including Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Target, and Macy's. As we embark on this exciting phase of growth, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Merchandising Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our success.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and results-oriented Merchandising Manager to take complete ownership of our bulk purchasing and assortment strategies. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a startup environment within an established and stable parent company. You will be instrumental in identifying opportunities, optimizing our product offerings, and driving both top-line sales and bottom-line profitability.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all aspects of bulk purchasing and assortment planning across our product categories.
* Proactively identify opportunities for strategic bulk purchases to maximize cost savings and profitability.
* Continuously monitor sales trends and provide data-driven recommendations for reorder quantities.
* Be fully accountable for achieving top-line sales targets and bottom-line profitability goals.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, securing favorable deals and negotiating effectively.
* Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales growth and increase profitability across all sales channels.
* Identify and capitalize on opportunities within platforms like Amazon FBA and Walmart WFS to optimize our fulfillment and reach.
* Proactively report progress, challenges, and insights to management.
* Collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., marketing, operations) to ensure seamless execution of merchandising strategies.
* Take complete ownership of assigned tasks and drive them to successful completion with minimal supervision.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven experience as a Merchandising Manager or in a similar role within the e-commerce industry.
* Strong understanding of bulk purchasing, assortment planning, and inventory management principles.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and identify key trends.
* Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and secure favorable terms with suppliers.
* Strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful merchandising strategies.
* Experience with Amazon FBA and Walmart WFS is highly desirable.
* Highly proactive and an independent contributor with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
* High level of confidence and the ability to work independently and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
* Remote: This is a fully remote position.
* Work Schedule: Six days a week, totaling nine hours per day (including a one-hour break).
* Shift Timing: This role requires working in the US shift, for example, from approximately 7:00 PM IST to 4:00 AM IST.
* Equipment: You will be required to use your own laptop for this role during probation period.
* Probation Period: The first three months of employment will be a probation period.
