Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Gainesville, FL. You will work with the Store Manager to lead a dynamic team, focusing on merchandising and processing freight to ensure product availability and presentation.

The role requires prior retail and management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. You will help maintain store standards and protect assets while supporting daily operations and customer service.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical duties as described.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock as needed.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with merchandised items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
