Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and driving a positive customer experience. You will focus on merchandising, freight processing, and daily store operations to meet company standards.

Prior retail and management experience is preferred, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The role requires physical effort, including lifting up to 50 lbs, and a high-energy team environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy and other store communications.
• Maintain cleanliness, restrooms, floors, and overall neatness.
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow in line with productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure sales floor remains sales-effective and appealing.
• Plan merchandise and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
