Dollar Tree, Inc. in Spring, Texas is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team.

You’ll collaborate with the Store Manager to guide a dynamic team, manage merchandising and freight flow, and uphold company standards while delivering friendly customer experiences. The role emphasizes physical responsibilities, opening/closing procedures, asset protection, and maintaining a clean, safe store.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Assist Store Manager with the following: Process receipt/return of DSD merchandise; Manage freight flow; Order and stock merchandise needs; Ensure sales floor is sales-effective; Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
