Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Rock Island, IL seeks a Merchandise Assistant Manager to partner with the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team of associates. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight, while delivering positive experiences for the communities we serve.

Your duties include assisting with store operations, opening/closing, asset protection, safety adherence, and stocking to company standards. You will help plan monthly Sales Planners and maintain a clean, efficient sales floor.

Qualifications

• Retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of daily retail duties.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Open and close procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Keep the store clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment for customers and associates.
