Job Description and Requirements

Merchandiser Travel Retail Service is responsible for representing Acosta, our clients, and our customers by effectively working in teams to perform reset and remodel work, including but not limited to reading and implementing plan-o-grams, new item placement, void corrections, and special merchandising activities. Must be a self-starter, quick learner, have a strong attention to detail, and work well in a team environment.

What will you do?

1. Read and follow a plan-o-gram to complete reset and remodel work effectively. Have a working knowledge of merchandising and retail terminology.
2. Perform duties such as moving and cleaning shelves, installing new racks and shelves, displaying merchandise properly, placing shelf strips, attaching tags, checking date codes and plan-o-gram integrity, and processing pack-outs, restocks, and reorders as necessary.
3. Partner with store personnel and co-workers to achieve and maintain merchandising excellence, discuss changes, and build effective working relationships.
4. Prepare, process, submit, and manage documentation related to reset and remodel work accurately.
5. Work safely by being aware of surroundings, using proper safety techniques and equipment, and alerting management to unsafe acts or conditions.
6. Follow all Acosta policies and standard operating procedures.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• At least 1-year experience reading and using planograms; retail and reset responsibility experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with business partners.
• Comfortable using technology such as smartphones, computers, copiers/faxes, and handheld devices.
• Core competencies include quality commitment, attention to detail, customer service, and effective communication.
• Ability to work accurately with web-based applications for various work-related activities.
• Willingness and ability to work in cold environments (refrigerated and freezer sections) for limited periods.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and leadership skills; effective reading and communication skills.

Travel may be up to 50%, including overnight stays and occasional weekend work.
