Job summary

Bell Nursery is seeking a seasonal Merchandiser to join the Charlotte store team in NC. You will unload, stock, and merchandize live-goods while delivering friendly customer service and maintaining displays.

Work outdoors February through October with moderate lifting, stand-up work, and independent as well as team collaboration. Training and a free company T‑shirt are provided, with an emphasis on sustainability and hands-on plant care.

Qualifications

• Seasonal position requiring outdoor work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and push/pull carts.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for payroll/inventory apps.
• Reliable, able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Unload, move, and stock live-goods shipments.
• Execute merchandising and display plans.
• Maintain accurate inventory and watering standards.
• Communicate with store leadership on execution.

What you'll do (Merchandiser responsibilities)

• Unload, move, and stock live-goods shipments - manually or with help - including lifting and carrying up to 50 lb, and pushing/pulling carts up to ~100 lb
• Execute merchandising and display plans (plan-o-grams), including setting promotional ads
• Maintain accurate inventory, monitor watering/sustainability standards, and ensure live goods are well cared for
• Communicate daily with store and Bell Nursery leadership on execution and store status
• Provide basic customer service when needed

• Enjoy working outdoors, being active, and doing physical work
• Comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, sometimes variable environment
• Reliable, alert, safety-conscious, with good problem-solving skills
• Able to work weekends (strongly preferred), and access to dependable transportation (private or public)
• Comfortable using a smartphone to manage payroll/inventory apps, and communicating via text, email, or phone
