Central Pet Distribution is Hiring Part Time Merchandisers! 2 - 3 Day Work Week, Weekends and Evenings Off!

Do you love pets and working independently? Our growing company is seeking an experienced merchandiser to visit and service our retail accounts. Our Pet Distribution team works together to supply our customers with the nation's top brands of pet supplies. With a set schedule and weekly route in a designated geographical area, our merchandisers excel at getting our products onto store shelves. If you are customer service-oriented, organized, dependable, and have great time management skills, this may be the job for you!

Location: Huntsville, AL

Shift Details: 2 - 3 Day (20-24 hour) work week; evenings and weekends off.

Measures of Success:

• Receive, unpack, and scan inbound inventory for retail locations using R/F units. Merchandise products onto store shelves according to schematics.
• Place replenishment orders for designated products.
• Count, pack, and arrange for the pickup/delivery of returned goods.
• Develop relationships with Back Door Receivers.
• Work closely with store sales staff regarding shelf maintenance and merchandising standards.
• Construct and assemble displays and display components as per specifications. Change and rotate interior display areas and signage for promotions.
• Monitor email and voicemail regularly for communication requests and business updates.
• Practice exceptional safety measures when driving.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with store managers and employees.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

• Previous merchandising experience.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with store personnel and consumers.
• Ability to safely use box cutters, bar-coding scanners, push carts, and dollies.
• Must own a Smartphone and have access to a computer.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
• Responsible, reliable, and dependable work habits.
• Must have a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
• Ability to bend, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs. consistently throughout the day.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day.
• Maintain alertness and safety at all times.

Working Conditions:

• Work at retail grocery stores in loading/unloading areas and on the sales floor.
• Travel between locations in personal vehicle.
• Remote work environment.
